Nuts & Bolts: Ventilation and Help Wanted

Dear Member,

This issue of Nuts & Bolts is a reminder to use the classroom air purifiers and asking you to serve as our representative on the Health and Safety Committee.

Air Ventilation

This is a reminder to make sure the Portable Air Purifier in your classroom is operational.

As you may remember, in 2021 the FSU got a grant from the MTA to assess the air handling system in Wheatley Hall as a way of determining how well campus buildings are meetings CDC safety guidelines during COVID.

Nuts & Bolts: December 2nd, Yes or No?

Introducing the FSU LGBTQIA+ Caucus

On behalf of the newly formed LGBTQIA+ Caucus, we want to thank all of those who submitted slides and attended the first 5 and a Slide event. There are fascinating things happening across the university and it was a joy to see this work presented in a fun and laidback atmosphere. To those who couldn’t come, we will likely have another go at this event in the future.

Greetings Colleagues,

Subject: Contract Action Team

Action Item: Consider Joining It!

As you will learn from our other blast email today (“Nuts and Bolts”) the Executive Committee  of the FSU last week elected our Core Bargaining Team (CBT) to take on the work of negotiating the successor contract to the one that we completed seemingly 15 minutes ago.  Our current contract expires at the end of June 2023 and the plan is to begin the next round of bargaining this coming winter.
