We are open to all questions and concerns but this meeting is particularly focused on implications of this policy for international students, faculty and staff who are visa holders.

1/27/2025

Dear Faculty and Librarians,

Welcome to the spring semester.  Hard to say spring as we just experienced below average temperatures the past four weeks.  The positive is that mid-January is traditionally the coldest time of the year so we can only go up.

Immigration Enforcement and the Safety of the UMass Boston Community

1/24/2025

Dear Member,

With the start of the new Trump administration, officers enforcing immigration laws will now be able to enter and make arrests at schools, churches, and hospitals. The safety of all community members – students, faculty, librarians and staff—is paramount.  We are committed to making sure our classrooms and campus spaces remain places of gathering and engagement where all are welcomed and feel safe.
