NTT Promotion Application Deadline is January 22nd, 2018

Dear NTT Colleague,

We would like to remind those NTT eligible to apply for promotion this academic year that the deadline to apply is the first day of the Spring 18 semester (1/22/18).

For more information on the NTT promotion application process see Article 21.10.5 through 21.10.8 of the contract as well as the primer on NTT contract rights on the FSU website.

Thanks to those of you who turned out for the Nov 29 protest against staff layoffs.  More on these layoffs is below:

► This Friday, December 8, at 9 am at UMass Lowell’s Inn and Conference Center is the Board of Trustees meeting.  Union Presidents will be speaking about the staff layoffs and cuts at UMB, bad salary increases being offered, and bad pay, security and working conditions for adjuncts at UMass Lowell.  Please come support this effort if you can.   50 Warren Street, Lowell, MA.  First floor, Main Ballroom.

The FSU governing body is the elected FSU Executive Committee which includes: President, Vice President, Librarian representative, four (4) Non Tenure Track Faculty representatives, two (2) Pre-Tenure Track Faculty representatives, and four (4) Tenured Faculty representatives.
