Sankofa Anti-Racism – Roundtable Thursday

Dear FSU Members,

Hundreds of university and community members have participated in the first three UMB Sankofa conversations on structural racism – the beginning of a university-wide process of making UMass Boston a leading anti-racist and health promoting university.  These have been challenging and transformative conversations, including a range of faculty, students, staff, community leaders, and politicians.  They can be viewed here: https://www.umb.edu/sankofa

FSU Forum TODAY- Building Solidarity Across Faculty Ranks: NTT Equity and Inclusion

Please join us TODAY Wednesday, November 18th for an FSU Forum about Building Solidarity Across Faculty Ranks, with a focus on non-tenure track faculty equity and inclusion. Faculty of all ranks are welcome and there will be substantial time for open discussion and listening to your thoughts and concerns.

The state budget proposal from the Senate Ways and Means Committee includes level-funding for public colleges and universities through June 30, 2021. Despite these promising developments, public higher education executives are continuing to make draconian cuts.   What can you do?   Two things:
