- Called to order at 11:07
- Approved minutes from last meeting unanimously
- Andrew reports on elections:
- Forum invitation went out
- All those in contested races will be there
- Nobody has self-nominated for pre-tenure slot – there’ll be a special election in the fall
- Also a special election in the fall for vice-prez
- Maybe do this in the spring? (after Jason is elected to prez of not)
- Will discuss at next ExecComm meeting
- LUCE – trainings
- We’re flexible
- Some in person and some zoom/hybrid
- Some at night and others in day
- Be cognizant of MW/TR people
- LUCE flyers
- Have copies but not stamped
- We’ll get ones that can be stamped soon
- Role of campus police with ICE
- Have chief of campus police come to ExComm’s next meeting
- Katie will start an email chain for questions and will do the asking
- Website (Lorenzo working with MTA communications person)
- Asks folks to look at current site and send comments to Lorenzo
- Need to get someone who can use WordPress to do more than just the basics
- Set up a zoom meeting where we can all go and review the site together – Thursday 3/12 11-12
- Membership update
- Last week 6 people got trained by Lucy
- Want to get 30 more members this semester
- April 2 11-12 follow-up meeting for folks doing this
- Flyers about Keith Jones’ case – to get people to sign petition
- Voted to approve the flyer and petition unanimously
- Tabling 3/12, 3/26, 4/2 at 12:30-1:30 (CC 1st floor)
- Something about Keith in “The Point” or other email to members?
- Meredith will put together an email and send to Lorenzo to send to members
- Petition language, flyer info, link to petition, info on tabling
- Will send it out tomorrow afternoon (Friday 3/6)
- Katie will edit petition to reinstate Keith (for students, faculty, community members, etc.) to include:
- Name
- Email address
- Affiliation
- Comments
- When to collect petition data and deliver it to Provost?
- Newsletter distribution
- Each of us distributes some of them in various ways
- There won’t be a March newsletter – but one in April
- Anti-racism grants – need to work out procedure for payment (can’t do gift cards directly from the university) – will put reimbursement rules in the RFP.
- When non-citizen faculty status changes, FSU must sign form to show we don’t object to this change in status.
- Looking for delegates for MTA meeting (5/8 and 5/9) – email Caroline if interested
- Elect president and vice president
- Set budget

- People have been getting emails encouraging folks to give up your union membership from “freedom foundation”
- We’ve sent out email to tell members what this is about
- Need a replacement faculty-FSU liaison for parking (meets Weds at 10) for Meredith
