More Information On The Voluntary Separation Incentive Program (VSIP)

8/14/2019

Dear Colleague,

Many of you have been asking about the Voluntary Separation Incentive Program (VSIP). For your information, faculty who are teaching during the fall 2019 semester potentially may be deemed critical by the administration so that their resignation date can be moved to December 31, 2019 by the administration.  Have your chair talk to your Dean should you want to request this.

Join the FSU bargaining or bargaining support team

8/9/2019

Dear Colleague,

Bargaining our successor agreement will begin next Spring 2020.  The FSU is looking for members to be on the bargaining team and the bargaining support committee.  Although we will begin bargaining in Spring 2020, there is much to do in preparation for bargaining during the Fall 2019 semester, including constituting a bargaining team, a bargaining support committee, creating and administering a bargaining survey of our members, and soliciting feedback for bargaining.

Dear Colleague,

We hope you are having a great summer.  Some important news is below.

►The Administration has requested that the FSU negotiate a policy for intra-campus employment (a policy for FSU members who are also employed at another UMass campus). Let us know if you are interested in serving on this bargaining team or are currently employed on more than one UMass campus and are willing to advise us and provide information regarding your experiences and concerns.  Contact the FSU office for more information.
