FSU Calendar April 7th to 11th       

Tuesday, April 8th 12:00-1:00 UMB: Uniting to Defend Public Higher Education Teach In

Join fellow members of FSU, and CSU, GEO, and PSU for a discussion on what we can do to fight back. The event begins with a 20-minute panel (zoom) followed by group breakouts examining impacts of federal actions and developing strategies for action. This is a hybrid event.  Registration information is on the attached flyer.

These attacks all stem from one root: a singular offense against working people and the public goods that our democracy relies on.

March 4th FSU lunchtime conversations: Equity, justice, inclusion and anti-racism in teaching, research and service

Join colleagues on Tuesday March 4, 12.30-1.30 in University Dining Club, CC 2nd floor to share aspects of your teaching, research and public and community service that are rooted in principles of anti-racism, equity, justice, and inclusivity, and to talk about the threats posed by recent federal government statements and actions. A pizza lunch will be provided.

Feb 18th All Union Town Meeting Update and Actions

Dear Members,

200 members of the four campus unions gathered to meet with the Chancellor, the Provost and other members of upper administration on Tuesday, February 18th. We wanted to share our concerns and fears about federal government threats to members of our community on the basis of immigration status, gender identity, and race, and attacks on higher education including cuts to federal grant funding.
