Higher Ed Advocacy Day at the State House, March 2nd

Dear FSU Member,

Public Higher Ed Advocacy Day 2020 is next Monday, March 2nd at the State House.

Join fellow UMB unions and other UMass system unions to tell our state legislators how the underfunding of public higher education has affected you and your students.  Tell them why the passage of the Cherish Act  (  is so important.

Lobbying in the State House will take place 10:00AM to 2:00PM.  Please join us for as much of this day as you can.

We especially encourage you to attend the special Higher Ed meeting about funding our future  which will take place 12:00PM to 1:00PM.  This a good option for those who cannot take the whole day.

To make attending the Higher Ed meeting easier, MTA has paid for a bus from UMB!  The bus will leave UMB approximately 11:30AM for the State House and return by 2:00PM.  Everyone, including the bus riders, will get a box lunch.

To register for the event and/or for the bus, and learn more details about the day’s activities, please click here:

Never lobbied your state legislature? Do not worry, there will be training available.

Unable to attend?  Call or write your legislators to tell them to support the Cherish Act for the future of Massachusetts.
