Dear Members,

The end of April signals the semester end is near.  We are on the homestretch (Kentucky Derby is May 4th) yet sometimes the finish line seems so far away!  

Save the Date! May 7^th and May 8^th

Join the FSU for a little nosh, chat with colleagues and spend some time gathering with others.  We are hosting two drop by and take a break events.  Both are 12PM to 2PM on Tuesday, May 7^th and Wednesday, May 8^th.

Dear Members,

It is finally here- the eclipse is just hours away.  If you are on campus the partial eclipse begins at 2:16PM with peak occurring at 3:29PM. It ends at 4:39PM.  I am ready with my solar glasses.   

FSU Annual Meeting, April 23^rd at 3pm

Our annual meeting is two weeks away!   Please join to us hear what your union has been doing, the status of activities (bargaining, parking bargaining, and coalition work), and adopting a budget for the next year.

Dear Members,

If you are reading this from your UMB office, then you are not one of the estimated sixteen million who call in sick the day after the super bowl.  There is even a legislative push to make this Monday a national holiday.  With so many with the super bowl flu, I hope for a lighter commute.

MTA Field Representative

Each MTA local is assigned a field representative to assist and support the local in such areas as bargaining, organizing, membership development and contracts.

Dear Members,

I hope your first two weeks of classes are going well.  For early morning arrivals, sunrise is finally before 7AM! Monday, February 5^th is truck day.  This is the day an eighteen-wheeler is stuffed with Red Sox equipment and leaves Fenway Park heading south to spring training. When baseball begins spring cannot be far away.

Reminder:  Deadline for Librarians and NTTs to submit promotion materials

The due date for Librarians to submit promotion materials to your supervisor is Tuesday, January 23^rd.
