FSU EX COM E-VOTE 3/30/25
E-vote on Ex Com recommendation to approve the proposed FY26 FSU budget. The Executive Committee vote began via email on 3/30/25. Motion seconded on 4/1/25. Motion approved on 4/1/25 (9 in favor).
Good evening,
The calendar for our Annual Meeting requires sending members materials no later than fourteen days prior to the meeting. Thursday, April 3rd is the day we need to send the meeting materials. Meeting materials include the agenda and the budget.
The Executive Committee needs to recommend a budget for adoption at the annual meeting. The recommendation requires a formal vote.
The recommendation does not preclude debate and amendments by the annual meeting attendees.
At our meeting of March 7th, Monique provided a detailed overview of the budget and our financial position. A few questions were asked. At that time, we did not know the exact JCC budget amount but expected it to be what was proposed. On March 14th, the JCC voted to adopt the budget as presented.
Attached is the same budget presented on March 7th. Please review the attached specifically columns G to K.
We have two options before us: Adopt as 2.5% increase which makes the FSU dues portion not a round number OR adopt a 2.6% increase which is a round number ($10)
Actions: A recommendation needs to be made by Weds. April 2nd so I can prepare the materials for Thursday distribution.
I am willing to do a quick zoom, but this will mean an evening (Tuesday ?) because we have no time when all can join during normal business hours. We can do an e-vote.
E vote process: One will need to make a motion for one of the two options, a second is needed. Then we can have email comments. Each will then be asked to vote by reply all.
Timeline:
Between now and Monday afternoon, a motion and second is made.
Monday to Tuesday afternoon, comments and discussion take place.
Post motions to Wednesday at 5PM: all members vote (reply all)
Thanks for all your assistance in this matter.
