Contract

Lecturers must notify their department if they believe they are eligible to apply (see the criteria for eligibility in Article 21.10.5 of the contract and in the primer) by the first day of the Spring semester. ► Budget Crisis and cuts.  We are hearing that the university is considering cutting 20% of all department and unit budgets across the board, and increasing parking fees up to $10. 

Tell the administration to cut ribbons, not budgets!

►  Most NTTs who were given notices of reappointment were hired back.  We do not have an exact figure, however.  Four faculty on continuing contracts were given layoff notices effective Fall 17 due to a projected lack of work.
