► Save our Public Schools: 

•          The FSU is phone banking this Thursday November 3, 6-8:30 pm with the No on 2 Campaign to prevent expanding the number of charter schools (the polls are a dead heat). Dinner is provided.  Despite what the Yes campaign says, money is diverted from public schools.  See: http://www.massteacher.org/issues_and_action/charter_schools/money_districts_pay_charters.aspx

•          Canvass in Boston this Saturday, November 5, 10-12, 12-2, or 2-4 pm.  Boston Teachers Union Office, 180 Mount Vernon Street, Dorchester.  Free Breakfast at 9:30 am.  Let us know if you can do this!  
• ►     Brave New University, a talk from this forthcoming book about the fate of US higher education, student debt and the anti-democratic turn for higher education in the US, by Jeffrey J. Williams, Professor of English and Literary and Cultural Studies, Carnegie Mellon University.  This Thursday, Nov. 3, 12:30-1:45 pm, University Hall 2-2300) 

► NTT Caucus: next meeting, Friday, Nov. 18, 3:30- to 5 pm, Crossley Lounge (W-6-47).
