Dear Colleagues:
Happy holidays! Before you go on a well-deserved break, please consider breaking from your grading to support adjunct faculty tomorrow.
►Stand out with adjunct faculty in community colleges tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 21 at noon at Roxbury Community College (1234 Columbus Avenue, Roxbury Crossing, MA; Building 3, Room 422) These adjunct faculty are poorly paid, have dreadful working conditions, and have been offered a zero percent pay raise this year and a 1 percent raise next year (we are being offered 1% this year and 2% next year) with no improvement in work conditions. Wear red if you can. See attached for further information.
►The Boston Globe continues its wonderful coverage of the budget cuts at UMB-- https://www.bostonglobe.com/opinion/2017/12/06/why-does-one-care-about-umass-boston/H6a43YXE6YRp5xD7itlK4N/story.html
For FSU members in good standing:

The union is only as strong as members are involved. Let us know if you want to be involved in the union, serve on our membership drive, a committee, or help with any of these issues. If you have not yet joined as a full member we urge you to do so now! (contact the FSU office for membership materials).
