Our International Students & the ICE Directive

7/8/2020

Dear FSU Members,

The FSU shares your concern and outrage over the recent directive by the Trump administration to strip international college students of their U.S. visas if their coursework is entirely online.  As has been suggested in the New York Times, this callous attack on international students may very well be part of an attempt by Trump to force universities to reopen during the pandemic.

This cruel initiative is already being challenged legally and politically on the national level, and the FSU will continue to both monitor the situation and explore options for opposing the directive and supporting our international students.  Below is a link to a national sign-on letter from faculty across the country opposing the regulations.  Please consider signing.
