Higher Ed Advocacy Day at the State House, March 2nd

2/25/2020

Dear FSU Member,

Public Higher Ed Advocacy Day 2020 is next Monday, March 2nd at the State House.

Join fellow UMB unions and other UMass system unions to tell our state legislators how the underfunding of public higher education has affected you and your students.  Tell them why the passage of the Cherish Act  (https://massteacher.org/current-initiatives/fund-our-future/higher-education)  is so important.

UMass Board of Trustees Meeting

December 18, 2019

Good morning Chairman Manning, Board of Trustees Members, Colleagues, and honored guests.

My name is Ken Reardon and I am a Professor and Director of the MS in Urban Planning and Community Development Program in the School for the Environment at the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Remarks From FSU President Marlene Kim To BOT- 12/18/19

Good morning. I am Marlene Kim, president of the Faculty Staff Union at UMass Boston.

The UMass Boston community is troubled that the trustees and President Meehan have done nothing to address our concerns around the establishment of UMass Amherst’s academic center in Newton that is vying for many of the same students and instructors that UMass Boston is also trying to attract and retain.
