Dear Colleagues,

The Faculty Council (FC) and the Faculty Staff Union (FSU) would like to invite you to attend an all-faculty Forum (librarian members of FSU welcome) to discuss the Chancellor and Provost’s Feb. 10th Joint Statement and the ensuing aftermath for us and our campus. This forum will be an opportunity to discuss your questions and concerns about this series of events on our campus as well as to allow us to learn what action(s) we want to pursue as faculty/librarians in the wake of these events.

Dear FSU Members, 

Like many of you, we were troubled by the recent editorial – or rather hit job – in the Boston Globe that repeated the ugly narrative that UMB faculty are racist.  The worst thing about it – aside from the damage it does to individual faculty, our students, and the university as a whole – is that the narrative comes directly from our own Administration in a transparent attempt to silence faculty.
