FSU Executive Committee Meeting, Friday, May 9th 3:30 to 5:00PM Zoom
Dear Faculty and Librarians,
Did you notice? Two weeks ago, workers in bucket trucks added the name Phillis Wheatley Peters Hall to the brick above the main entrance. This Thursday at 11AM there will be a building rededication, adding the name Peters. This change is a direct result of hard work by a group of students. To learn more, read the Mass Media article.
FSU Executive Committee Motion: IT Acceptable Use Policy
The Executive Committee voted unanimously on the following motion:
That administration suspends the AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) policy with immediate effect until a new policy is drafted and agreed upon.
The motion language was sent to Raymond Lefebrve, Vice Chancellor of Information Technology, Provost Joe Berger and Peter Kelly, Chancellor’s chief of staff. We will provide an update when we receive a response.

Know Your Contract: Additional Work for Part-Time Lecturers
Departments are required to first offer any additional work that may become available to qualified part-time Lecturers within that department before that work can be offered outside of the bargaining unit. The additional work will be offered according to departmental seniority. Please notify the FSU if such additional work has not been first offered to qualified part-time members of the department.
NOTE: There are limited circumstances in which departments may offer additional work to new NTT hires before offering the work to current part-time unit members. See Article 21.3 for further details.
