Dear FSU Members,

Native American and Indigenous Studies (NAIS) and the Institute for New England Native American Studies (INENAS) at UMass Boston, presents a concluding celebration of INDIGENOUS PEOPLES' DAY 2020 @ UMass Boston.

Join us on November 2nd 2020, 6.00pm for exciting presentations, art, and music to conclude our celebration of Indigenous Peoples' Day at UMass Boston.  Registration below.

Event:  "Indigenous Resilience, Survivance, Art, and Activism"

Join us for a concluding event, celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day at UMass Boston. In this mixed media online event, we share a pre-recorded keynote lecture by Executive Director of Tomaquag Museum, Lorén Spears (Narragansett), "Indigenous Peoples and Environmental Justice".* Following this, we share a presentation of support and action items, and a local Indigenous "Artist Spotlight" to highlight opportunities to show support and solidarity for ongoing local Indigenous projects, communities, and artists. Original music for this concluding segment is provided by the Groovalottos and The ZYG 808. To conclude, a formal closing of Indigenous Peoples' Day at UMass Boston will be delivered by Mashpee Wampanoag Elder, Anne Foxx.
