Dear Tenured FSU Member,
Welcome back! September is the beginning of the new academic year and this year includes an election to fill the vacant seat for a Tenured faculty member on the FSU Executive Committee (the Ex Com is the governing body of the FSU and is comprised of elected representatives from the librarian, NTT, pre-tenured, and tenured constituents; for more, see here).
The FSU will be holding a special election to fill the vacancy. The term of office is October 2, 2020 to May 2022.
Attached is the Nomination Form. Nominations close on September 16th with voting taking place September 25th to October 2nd.
Election Schedule
Nominations: Closes at 5PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
Election Committee Review: September 17th and 18th
Announcement of candidates: September 18th
Campaigning: Begins once candidate announcement email sent and ends Friday, September 25th at 8:59AM.
Voting: Begins 9AM Friday, September 25th and ends 8:59AM Friday, October 2nd.
Announcement of Election Results: Friday, October 2nd.
The Executive Committee meets twice a month for ninety minutes. Fall 2020 meetings are Fridays 4:00- 5:30PM on September 11th and 25th, October 16 and 30th, November 6th and 20th and December 4th and 18th. The actual meeting date and time changes each semester based on the committee member’s teaching schedules.
