Dear Non-Tenure Track Faculty,
As elected non-tenure track members of the FSU Executive Committee, we represent your interests and work on your behalf. All Executive Committee members, regardless of rank, have the same voting rights and authority.
The Faculty Council does not allow NTTs to serve as elected members, but we are trying to change that.
Today, Monday, November 2nd the Faculty Council Executive Committee will bring forward a recommendation to make changes to the council’s constitution specifically so that NTTs will be able to serve as elected members. The presence of NTTs and TT allies at the meeting will emphasize the importance of this change to the constitution.
Faculty Council meetings are 1:30 – 3:30 and open to all faculty. The constitution agenda item is the last item on the agenda today so if you cannot attend the entire time, come for the last half hour. (If the meeting runs out of time before getting to this agenda item, it will be put at the top of the agenda for the next Faculty Council meeting in one week on Monday, November 9.)
