Dear Member, 

Twas the week before grades due, when bluebooks amass 

Not a paper was late, not even a one 

The grading taking place by daylight with care 

In hopes to finish by the deadline for sure 

(My apologizes to our English colleagues and to Clement Clark Moore)  

This is the final Nuts & Bolts of the semester. Before we say goodbye for a while, we wanted to provide a few reminders including one on public higher education funding.

Who is bargaining? 

The FSU is in coalition with the Classified Staff Union (CSU), Department Chairs’ Union (DCU), and Professional Staff Union (PSU).  The presidents of each union are at the table for their respective union.

Dear Members, 

Happy new academic year!  The next few days are exciting as we reconnect with colleagues, meet new colleagues, greet our students, and try to find our classrooms.   Since last semester, the plaza has added new pavers, the quad is starting to take shape and parking Lot D is back open.  

The Faculty Staff Union (FSU) is gearing up for a busy year.

Dear FSU members,  

The FSU received member inquiries regarding an email notification informing members that their summer session parking passes were expiring.  This is the first time Parking and Transportation sent a communication telling passholders their summer pass expired before the fall semester pass began.   

The FSU has contacted both Labor Relations and Parking and Transportation and we continue to do so to resolve this issue specifically to follow past practice and keep summer session passes valid through August 31^st at 11:59PM.
