July 22nd paycheck..the good..the bad…

Dear Members, 

Our July 22nd paycheck included our 2% cost of living raise. This is good.    

What is not good, the university also took out a union dues deduction for dues paying FSU members. Union dues deductions only occur September to June, ten deductions.   

Late Friday we contacted Human Resources Payroll and Labor Relations leaders informing them of the error. This week we will be focusing on correcting this error.  There are many parts involved in our dues processing including the UMass system office who sends electronic payment to our bookkeeper in Amherst.
