Dear Members,

Welcome back!  The start of Spring semester is also the time for election for Faculty Staff Union (FSU) Executive Committee positions.

The positions up for election or re-election in Spring 2020 include:

President

Librarian representative

Pre-tenure (1 position)

Tenured (2 positions)

Non-Tenure track (2 positions)

Nomination Period is January 31st to February 14th

The Nomination Forms are now available. We are attaching the forms (see below).  The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 14th at 5PM EST.

2020 Election: Due to the resignation of a Tenured Track and a Non-Tenure Track Executive Committee member, the Executive Committee voted, upon the recommendation of the Elections Committee, that the person who replaces each member will begin their term of office immediately after the election results are published.

2020 Tenured Track Election

There are three positions up for election.  One is to fill the remaining months of a resigned member. The other two positions are the standard two-year term that begins at the conclusion of Spring 2020 semester and runs to Spring 2022.

Bottom line:  There are two full two-year term positions (May 2020 to May 2022) and one position to fill the remaining term (March 2020 to May 2021) that require a member to be elected to fill.  When voting you will select three (3) members.

2020 Non-Tenure Track Election

There are two positions up for election.  One is to fill the remaining months of a resigned member plus a full two-year term.  The other position is the standard two-year term that begins at the conclusion of Spring 2020 semester and runs to Spring 2022.

Bottom Line:  There is one full two-year term position (May 2020 – May 2022) and one position to fill the resigned member’s term (March 2020 – May 2020) plus serve a full two-year term (May 2020 to May 2022).  When voting you will select two (2) members.

Voting Platform: We are pleased to announce that we will be using ElectionBuddy as our voting software platform.  ElectionBuddy will send you your ballot and they will answer any ballot access questions during the week-long voting period. Prior to voting you will receive detailed information on receiving your ballot from ElectionBuddy.
