TODAY - Talk on Radical Activism – April 27th, 4:00-5:30

4/27/2021

Dear FSU Members,

The Honors College and Departments of English, Africana Studies, American Studies and Labor Studies are all co-sponsoring an event that may interest many of you – a talk by UMB graduate Demita Frazier TODAY from 4:00-5:30 on what it means to be a radical activist.  Demita Frazier graduated from UMB (CPCS) in 1980, is co-founder of the Combahee River Collective (a radical Black feminist organization active in Boston from 1975 to 1981), and co-author of the well-known Combahee River Collective Statement (for an interesting discussion/history of the Collective and the Statement you might check out this piece in The New Yorker).

(contact FSU or Steve Striffler for Zoom information).

For more information please contact the event’s organizer, Professor Joe Ramsey (joseph.ramsey@umb.edu)
