Dear Members,

Please mark your calendar for Wednesday, September 17th 12:30 to 1:30PM to hear the status of transportation bargaining (formerly called parking bargaining).  Join either in person or on zoom.  Room and zoom details forthcoming. 

For over two years, members of the Classified Staff Union, Department Chairs Union, Faculty Staff Union and Professional Staff Union, as a coalition, have been meeting with UMB administration regarding parking rates, parking passes, and lot designations. Over this time negotiations have expanded to include member public transportation subsidies. 

Join fellow union members to learn more about the union coalition principles (sliding scale, protecting students and lowest paid workers, and limiting debt that can be added to the Parking and Transportation Department budget) proposal details and UMB administration responses. 

We look forward to seeing you, sharing information and hearing your feedback.

Be part of history and join union members from across the region to march in Boston’s first Labor Day parade.  The parade brings together workers from a variety of industries to showcase our commitment to fair labor practices for all.

More than ever, it is important for educators to organize with labor to fight back the attacks on our students, our curriculum and our research grants.
