REGISTER: Aug 3rd MTA Hearing on Covid Crisis, Fall Opening with UMass President Meehan and Commissioner Santiago

Just a reminder about the MTA hearing with President Meehan on Monday. Here is additional information about the MTA’s campaign “Massachusetts Agrees: Defend Public Higher Ed Now”: http://massachusettsagrees.org/for-the-media/
The MTA is holding a “COVID Crisis on Campus” hearing to present testimony to legislators, Commissioner Santiago, and President Meehan on our three demands: (1) health and safety; (2) full employment (stop the layoffs, furloughs, non-reappointments, work overload and program cuts); (3) funding for public higher ed. This is an important chance for us to communicate with (and show our strength to) those who have power over funding for public higher education.
In addition to Commissioner Santiago and President Meehan, the MTA has confirmation that the following legislators will be in attendance: Sen. Comerford, Rep Higgins, and Rep Sabadosa
