Send a Message to President Caret:
We will not accept the Take-Backs
Librarians with a lower vacation cap. New faculty and librarians with a sick leave cap.
Help protest these as well as unprecedented attacks on staff sick leave, vacation leave, overtime, comp time, fair hiring and other longstanding negotiated benefits and policies.
We are uniting with staff on campus to defend our contracts from these take-backs.
Join us on Tuesday, October 7th at 9:30 am at the corner of the Boston Common opposite the State House. Professional staff, classified staff, graduate employees and faculty will be at the UMass on the Common to let UMass President Caret and Chancellor Motley know that:
A great public university doesn’t reward its top administrators with huge salary increases while reducing the benefits of its employees.
A great public university doesn’t invest in new buildings while disinvesting in the faculty and staff who deliver the education to the students.
A public university is only as great as its dedicated employees.
Tuesday, October 7th at 9:30 am at the corner of the Boston Common opposite the State House
And join us at a poster-making party on Monday, Oct. 6th, 12-1 in the union office (Quinn, 2nd floor, room 81A)!
