Dear Members,
We write to inform you of a change of date for our upcoming workshop.
Say NO to “resilience” and YES to "resistance” with Andrew Leong on November 12th at 12pm
UMB Philosophy professor and attorney Andrew Leong is following up his Spring 2025 'Know Your Rights' workshop. This workshop offers information, observations, and examples about how we can and should resist, individually and collectively, the rising threat of authoritarianism.
Join us on Wednesday, November 12th from 12:00PM to 1:30PM in the Campus Center, 3rd floor Ballroom.
Upcoming events………..
Wednesday, October 29th UDC Pizza and Cookies 11:30AM to 1:00PM
Stop by UDC for some pizza, relax, chat with colleagues and meet new colleagues. Pick up some FSU swag – stickers, buttons and t-shirts.
Thursday, October 30th Solidarity with PSU, 12PM outside Quinn Building
Stand in solidarity with the Professional Staff Union (PSU) as they raise awareness of their stalled contract negotiations. They are the only UMB union without a new contract and as such, have not received their 2025 cost of living increases. Last week the University administration declared an impasse. They did this without responding to PSU’s latest proposal.
Sincerely,
Caroline Coscia Jason Rodriquez
