Covid 19 Hazard Duty Payment

9/27/2022

Dear FSU Members,

As part of the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the university system has received funding to pay a one-time covid-19 hazardous duty payment.  The FSU is in discussion with our administration to identify eligible members including those who applied for and were granted campus access.  The result will be a memorandum of agreement (MOA).

Eligibility

The MOA language lists the two types of eligibility:

Full-time employees directed to report to work in person during the period November 2, 2020 through May 29, 2021, who were not afforded the option of working remotely either fully or in a hybrid schedule, shall receive a one-time COVID-19 Hazardous Duty Payment of $2,000.00.

Employees directed to report to work in person during the period November 2, 2020 through May 29, 2021, to provide direct services, public facing, public safety, cleaning and/or maintenance services on a part-time or hybrid work schedule, shall receive a one-time COVID-19 Hazardous Duty Payment of $1,000.00.

If you believe you are eligible, please contact the FSU by 4PM on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Sincerely,
