COVID-19 and our campus: what’s next?

4/21/2020

Dear FSU members,

Please join the FSU bargaining team for an informal Q&A to discuss any and all of the following:

  • What is the administration doing to address the COVID-19 crisis on campus this spring?  this summer?  this fall?
  • What is the FSU doing to represent faculty and librarian interests during the COVID-19 crisis?
  • What is happening with our current FSU employment contract?
  • What is “impact bargaining”?  What is happening during impact bargaining?
  • Who is on the bargaining team?  How were they chosen?  How does the bargaining team know what I want?
  • What is the role of the FSU—both during the COVID-19 crisis as well as beyond it?
  • What can I do to help our campus weather the COVID-19 crisis?
  • Should I get involved with the FSU?  If so, how?
  • Your questions here!

We will be hosting 2 different info sessions from 3-4 pm, Wednesday April 22nd and Thursday April 23rd (contact  the FSU office for Zoom meeting information)

Attached is the tentative agreement we have already reached with administration regarding the impacts of COVID-19 on our campus for Spring 2020 (you can also see more info at the FSU COVID-19 webpage here).  Take a look and bring your questions about it to the session.  We will also provide a quick overview of the agreement for members then.

Hope to see you this week!  If you can’t make it, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with your questions or concerns, which you can do by just replying to this email.

Sincerely,

Core Bargaining Team
