Join the MTA and UMB colleagues at the State House on December 1, when the MTA Higher Ed for All, a campaign developed by faculty, staff, and stakeholders committed to our public colleges and universities, is announced.

Dec 2nd - Normal campus operations

We expect full campus operations on Friday December 2nd.

Weeks ago, we (campus unions) were preparing for the EarthShot event to be at the JFK Library on Friday and expecting impacts to campus operations.  Since then, we have learned that the award ceremony is being held at the MGM at Fenway.  As a result, there was no impact to the campus including operations.

Then on Monday, reports surfaced that the Prince alone will be touring the Library sometime Friday, possibly around lunchtime.  The unions reached out to the Administration to see if they are being told of roadway closures when the Prince comes and goes from the JFK Library.  The response is the JFK parking lot may be closed, and a portion of the Harbor Walk will be blocked off.  

Normally, when dignitaries come for a short JFK Library visit, it has been customary for traffic to be stopped while the motorcade comes and goes from the peninsula. We expect the same Friday.
