Hope you are getting something of a break!  Next Tuesday there are two important events:

The Workplace Health and Safety Committee, a labor-management committee comprised of all the unions on campus and university representatives, met to discuss asbestos on campus and other concerns in December. 

The unions are satisfied (so far) that the university is responding appropriately to the discovery of asbestos on campus and that the conditions for faculty, staff and students remain healthy and safe.  We will of course monitor this closely.

The FSU and other unions on campus, along with UMB students, are speaking out against the Board of Trustee's decision to raise fees and against the rising tide of student debt. You can see coverage of this issue here, here, and here.
