FSU Executive Committee Meeting Minutes
November 1, 2019
Ex Com Members Present: Marlene Kim; Jessica Holden; Joseph Brown; Caroline Coscia; Jeff Melnick; Monique Fuguet; Joe Ramsey; Tracy Brown; Emilio Sauri; Tim Sieber; Sylvia Mignon; Meghan Kallman

EMILIO SAURI ENTERS
Discussion of MTA racial justice training workshops for all UMB unions, plans to hold them soon. Noted that FOC report focuses on need for these trainings for administrators and senior faculty. Discussion of idea of raising these issues in bargaining, idea of holding a meeting for FOC/FOC issues re bargaining. Jeff Melnick, Meghan Kallman, Tim Sieber agree to contact FOC members for possible proposals re racial justice issues for bargaining and send to bargaining team.
6. Report on Bargaining summit: Discussion of expanded bargaining – bargaining team core representatives and other representatives October MTA bargaining summit.
7. FSU bargaining CLRs and support team: Motion to approve the following course releases and stipends for Spring 20. Motion seconded. Motion approved unanimously: Marlene Kim will take a CLR per Article 5.9(A). The CLR will be taken during Spring 2020.
Caroline Coscia will take a CLR per Article 5.9(A). The CLR will be taken during Spring 2020.
Laurie Milliken will take a CLR per Article 5.8. The CLR will be taken during Spring 2020.
Tony Van Der Meerwill take the $3,000 stipend per Article 5.6
Maria Mellone will take a CLR per Article 5.6. The CLR will be taken during Spring 2020.
Jason Rodriquez will take a CLR per Article 5.6. The CLR will be taken during Spring 2020.
Motion to appoint Marlene Kim and Monique Fuguet to FSU bargaining support committee. Motion seconded. Motion approved unanimously.
8. Discussions at ex com meetings: Discussion of whether Ex Com meetings still had to include only action items and motions or whether giving reports and having general discussions is okay with this executive committee. Agreement that discussions and reports are okay.
9. Travel software and other information from LM meetings: Report that new software for reimbursement for travel is not mandatory but members are receiving instructions during the trainings for this software that using this software is mandatory to be reimbursed.
Report on dorm employees and their employment status (by university or other) of workers there .
Parking passes: Keep your passes. An email will go out regarding the option to turn in multipark passes by mid-January 2021 and be reimbursed.
Motion to adjourn. Motion seconded, Motion approved unanimously.
