Update on parking fee proposal

Dear Colleagues:

The administration has now officially given the FSU its parking proposal, which can be seen here and is summarized below. 

  • Bayside (even with its impending sale, the university foresees parking at this lot for 3-5 years):

$9/day (from $6/day currently); $144 for monthly pass ($96 currently); $576/semester pass ($96/currently).

Tenured Faculty Special Election Announcement

Dear FSU Member,

The FSU Executive Committee has a vacancy due to the resignation of a tenured faculty member.

The FSU Bylaws (Article III, Section 5) allows for a special election to fill a vacancy.

This email is to formally announce that a special election to fill the remainder of the term (March 2018 to May 2019) is taking place. The special election will take place simultaneously with the annual FSU elections.

The Faculty Staff Union (FSU) holds an election every Spring semester for positions on the FSU Executive Committee.  The positions up for election or re-election include: President, Librarian, Pre-tenure, Tenured (2 positions), and Non-Tenure track (2 positions).

NTT Promotion Application Deadline is January 22nd, 2018

Dear NTT Colleague,

We would like to remind those NTT eligible to apply for promotion this academic year that the deadline to apply is the first day of the Spring 18 semester (1/22/18).

For more information on the NTT promotion application process see Article 21.10.5 through 21.10.8 of the contract as well as the primer on NTT contract rights on the FSU website.
