Dear FSU Members,

As part of the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the university system has received funding to pay a one-time covid-19 hazardous duty payment.  The FSU is in discussion with our administration to identify eligible members including those who applied for and were granted campus access.  The result will be a memorandum of agreement (MOA).

Eligibility

The MOA language lists the two types of eligibility:

The Point: The Fair Share Amendment

9/19/2022

Greetings, Colleagues:

One thing you will notice if you read The Point in the coming weeks and months is that sometimes we dive into the knotty and granular details of issues that are very particular to our campus and daily working conditions.  In those email blasts we (the Communications Committee) will write or solicit contributions from colleagues that are rooted in local knowledge and primary research.  These email blasts should be construed as excavations, provocations, and invitations to consider matters of concern that we believe to be underappreciated.

FSU Nuts & Bolts

9/12/2022

Welcome to the first issue of Nuts & Bolts, a weekly Faculty Staff Union (FSU) member email focusing on our contract, policies, bargaining and to share campus information.

We are calling this issue Union 101.  Many times, we use acronyms when talking with colleagues and friends. The FSU is no exception. This issue aims to provide insight on these, including information on the FSU’s structure, operations, and our relationships.

What is the FSU?

What is The Point?

9/12/2022

Greetings, Colleagues:

Welcome back to campus! We hope the first week of the semester has treated you as kindly as possible.
