Parking Bargaining Update

7/29/2021

Dear CSU, DCU, FSU and PSU members,

You all received the email from Parking & Transportation last Tuesday afternoon, unilaterally announcing changes to our parking systems. We believe that these changes will create barriers to employees and students accessing parking, as well as raising safety and privacy concerns, as license plates are registered and scanned and information is stored by the university.

Parking Bargaining Update

7/23/2021

Dear CSU, DCU, FSU and PSU members,

Parking Bargaining is Back – FSU General Meeting, July 20th

7/13/2021

Dear FSU Member,

The UMB Administration has notified the campus unions that the Bayside Lot is anticipated to be closed around June 2022. This would eliminate all of the lower-cost parking available to students and employees.  To address this and other on-going concerns about the current parking fees, a coalition of campus unions (including the CSU, DCU, FSU and PSU) held an initial meeting with management on July 8th.

Graduate Program Director Survey – Report/Analysis

6/25/2021

Dear FSU Members,

We write to report on the recent FSU survey of Graduate Program Directors.  We got 67 responses – an excellent response given the relatively small size of the group and the timing of the survey.  Thanks to those who participated!  Current and former GPDs who did not participate are encouraged to share your thoughts (fsu@umb.edu).

REMINDER: FSU Survey for Graduate Program Directors- Deadline Tomorrow (Thursday, 6/17)

6/16/2021

Dear Members,

Below is a link to a very short survey for current and past Graduate Program Directors (everyone else can ignore).  The FSU is trying to get a better sense of GPD job responsibilities and compensation across the university.  It is easy and will take about 5 minutes to fill out.

If this applies to you, and you haven’t filled out the survey already, please do so by the end of the day tomorrow (Thursday, 6/17).
