FSU Elections Update

Dear FSU members,

Voting in the FSU Elections will conclude at 9:00AM, Friday 3/12. If you would like to observe the counting of votes, we will be holding a Zoom session starting at 9:01AM tomorrow (contact the FSU Elections Committee for meeting info). This will be the first time the committee is opening the election ballots, so it may take the system some time to compile.

Don't miss the FSU Workload Survey – for All Faculty – Please complete

Dear Faculty,

We know we're all busy these days, but please do take a moment to fill out this important survey, which can help us to get to know the full extent of the work you do for UMB, and how our union can best support it.

RES Funds – New Agreement

Dear Members,

The FSU and Administration reached a Memorandum of Agreement on the allocation of RES Funds.  This agreement only applies to the current fiscal year. Our rationale for signing a separate MOA for the current fiscal year is simple: while the current fiscal year ends on June 30, 2021, bargaining for the current contract may not be finished by that point. Since RES Funds need to be expended in the fiscal year in which they are allocated, a separate agreement would have to be reached if members are going to have access to the funds this year.

Bargaining Wednesday – Join us

Dear FSU Members,

As part of the FSU’s commitment to expanded bargaining (see the FSU policy here), we invite you – as members of the FSU bargaining team – to our next bargaining session this Wednesday – March 10th from 1pm to 3pm.

We will be discussing proposals around teaching loads, course sizes, and a research intensive semester.
