FSU Nuts & Bolts: RES Funds

2/13/2023

Dear Members,

We all receive emails reminding us of an upcoming deadline.  We read it and then say to ourselves – oh, yeah, I need to do that before the deadline. Sometimes we do meet the deadline and other times grading, advising, committee work, and family life causes us to miss the deadline.

This issue of Nuts & Bolts is a reminder to submit your RES funds.  But first..

Help us push for a larger pay raise!

FSU Nuts & Bolts: Economic Parameters- Help Seek a True Raise

1/30/2023

Dear Members,

Last week’s Nuts & Bolts explained how our raise percents are determined. This week we continue by providing you more information and asking you to help us push Governor Healey to set parameters that exceed the consumer price index (CPI) and hence, represent a true raise.

Parameters?

This is the term used to describe the percent raises of state employees.

Who sets the parameters?

The Governor.
